Emoji Jerigonza started with a simple idea: turn the Puerto Rican game of talking in code into designs you can wear.

We combine jerigonza, emojis and retro lettering. If you grew up speaking it, it brings back good memories. If it's new to you, it's another way to play with words.

We design in Puerto Rico. Every phrase is after the same thing: someone smiles, tries to decode it, and asks «¿Qué dice?» (What does it say?).

Where do I buy a t-shirt?

All purchases happen in our Etsy shop. There you can see the available products, choose your size and pay. Our first design, Café, is available now; the rest are coming soon.

Who prints and ships the orders?

We design in Puerto Rico. Printful prints and ships each t-shirt when you place an order. Production and shipping times, and the other details for each product, will be on its Etsy page.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. Every shirt's meaning is above, in Spanish and English. The translator works with phrases in Spanish, because the game itself is Spanish: chi goes before each Spanish syllable.

Can the translator decode any phrase?

The translator turns Spanish into Emoji Jerigonza. You can see what your t-shirt says with the button above. We can't translate any Emoji Jerigonza phrase back into Spanish, because some emojis stand for more than one word.

How do I care for my t-shirt?

Wash cold, inside out, on a gentle cycle. Skip the fabric softener. Hang dry or tumble dry low, and don't iron the print.
